Friends of the Yuba County Library held its annual meeting Tuesday at the Marysville facility.

After a brief business meeting for members, the program turned to Poetry, Prizes and Pie, providing food for both body and mind.

Local poets and poetry lovers recited their own work or those by famous poets.

I would like to thank the Yuba County Library staff and volunteers. They really have a lot of cool events (I believe Kathleen is the name of the person who runs a lot of them) and I have enjoyed the atmosphere and fun of a few of the events. The people working behind the big desk where you check stuff out are always friendly and helpful. The Library is a great resource for our community and again, thank you to those who work there and volunteer.
