    Loss and Learning

    Sometimes it takes death to be in your hands to realize a few things.

    I watched the littlest one take her last breath, you can prepare and prepare for death, but when it comes, you are never truly ready.

    So yes, that is how it went from 10 to 9 pups, in a matter of minutes. Poor little thing didn't have a fighting chance.

    But for the two days she was with us, she touched a few lives with that little horseshoe mark on her tummy and how she fit into one hand.

    I tell you this to semi-warn you, you may not be able to prepare for death, but you can prepare for the reaction to it...
