Briefs: Health workshops begin Tuesday
A series of six "Healthier Living" workshops starts this week, sponsored by Sutter County Public Health.
The first workshop in the series, designed to help people better manage their health conditions, is from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Workshops will be offered at various locations in Sutter County.
The workshops program was developed at the Stanford University Patient Education Research Center.

Papa Murphy's to donate profits
Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza is donating 20 percent of its sales on Tuesday to the Yuba County Museum of History in Marysville.
Customers should present a flier at the time of purchase. The business is at 962 Gray Ave., Yuba City.

Sutter County
Probation officer receives award
Sutter County Chief Probation Officer Christine Odom received the Chief Probation Officers of California Lifetime Achievement Award Dec. 8 during the group's statewide meeting.
She has been working in the field of probation in Sutter County for about 33 years and became chief probation officer in 1997.
In 1992, Odom was named probation officer of the year by the American Probation and Parole Association.
Her background also includes serving on the statewide organization's juvenile services, adult services and training committees as well as serving as Sacramento region chair.
Odom is also a founder and supporting member of the Northern California Probation Consortium.
