Yuba College ponders impact of Prop. 30
The Yuba Community College District is still looking at the impact of Proposition 30, but funding for the college should remain adequate, said public information officer Miriam Root.
"We're doing OK," she said. "We are trying to stay within our means."
The district is anticipating a $6.1 million boost from the proposition's Education Protection Account. It could receive an additional $562,000 if the district grows by 123 full-time equivalent students.
The district won't see any money until June, Root said, but added that things are looking up.
"I don't think we are going to see the highs we used to see," she said, "but I think we could see a resurgence."
