Yuba City police want to ID suspected counterfeiters

Yuba City police are looking for two people who are believed to have used counterfeit $100 bills to pay for separate items at the same time Wednesday at the Walgreens store at 855 Colusa Avenue.

At about 1:30 a.m., store employees reported two different people, who both appeared to be young men on in-store surveillance cameras, using about $1,000 worth of counterfeit $100 bills for two separate purchases. One bought a $500 Visa card, the other a $400 Visa card.

Both people arrived and left the store at about the same time.

The department also released stills of the suspected counterfeiters, and investigators asked anyone who can identify them to contact the department.
