Fourth of July events

Today

• "Hot Linda Nights" — 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. centered at the Feather River Center, 6000 Lindhurst Ave., Linda. Includes charity car cruise with six stops — the Feather River Center, American Legion Post 807, Yuba County Airport Honeycutt Aviation, Marysville Raceway, Museum of the Forgotten Warriors and Peña Insurance and Tax Service — and digital laser light show. Presented by Linda Lions Club.

• Annual All-American Hometown Celebration — Parade at 10 a.m. on B Street in Biggs. Activities centered at Cork Oak Park: breakfast at 7 a.m.; vendor booths open at 8 a.m.; music and activities at 11 a.m.; live music at 6:30 p.m. Free admission, donations accepted.

• Fourth of July Children's Parade — 10 a.m. starting at Gauche Aquatic Park, 421 C St., ending at Yuba City Town Center on Plumas Boulevard, Yuba City.

• Annual Wheatland Fourth of July Picnic — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Nichol's Park, 101 C St., Wheatland. Sponsored by the South Yuba Recreation Volunteer Association.

• Nirjal-Akadshi Day — Free soft drinks and fruit from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in front of Sri Narayan Hindu Temple, 1829 Franklin Road, Yuba City. In observance of religious tradition in India.

• Fourth of July Spectacular — 11 a.m. street fair in Memorial Park, 10th and Market streets, Colusa. Sponsored by the Colusa County Chamber of Commerce.

• APBA Hydroplane Races — noon to 4 p.m., awards ceremony to follow, on Ellis Lake, Marysville.

• Foothill Lions Veterans Memorial Dedication — noon at the Foothill Lions Community Center, 5667 Fruitland Road, Loma Rica. Includes barbecue and music. Call 749-2001.

• Fourth of July Roundup and Barbecue — 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Church of Glad Tidings, Highway 99 and Eager Road, Yuba City. Free barbecue while supply lasts; horseback and wagon rides; rodeo demonstrations.

• Fourth of July Bluegrass Barbecue — 6:30 p.m., fireworks display at dusk, at Fellowship Center, 303 Garden Highway, Yuba City.

• Biggs — 9:15 p.m. at Cork Oak Park; part of city's All-American Hometown Celebration.

• Colusa — 9:30 p.m. at Levee Park on Main Street. Part of city's Fourth of July Spectacular.

• Grass Valley — 9:30 p.m., gates open at 3 p.m., at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, 11228 McCourtney Road. Admission is $8 for adults; free for children 12 years and under.

• Sacramento — 9:30 p.m. at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd. Free admission; parking is $10.

• Oroville — 9:30 p.m. over Lake Oroville. No shuttle buses, parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. Dam road closes to vehicles at 3 p.m. Sponsors include the Oroville Chamber of Commerce.

Monday

• Annual Cardboard Boat Races — 2 p.m., registration from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Ellis Lake, Marysville. Part of the Great American Celebration and Regatta.
