Briefs: Santa arriving by firetruck on Loma Rica
Milk and cookies with Santa and a Christmas Fair is scheduled from 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Historic Loma Rica Hall, 11420 Loma Rica Road.
Santa will arrive at 2 p.m. in a firetruck provided by the Loma Rica Fire Department.
Admission is free with donations accepted.
Vendors will be selling holiday crafts, gifts and decor.
Unused toys will be collected to send to children overseas.
Sponsored by the Yuba County Sheriff's Women's Posse, proceeds will go toward renovations to the hall.

Friday events for 7th-, 8th-graders
The Youth Live Center at Friday Night Live has announced it will be open exclusively to seventh- and eighth-grade students in Yuba-Sutter every Friday night.
From 5 p.m.-8 p.m., a disc jockey, pool tables, snack bar and video games are part of the entertainment.
Entry fee is $3.
Supervision is provided by high school students and adult volunteers.
The center is in the historic Packard Library, 301 Fourth St., Marysville.

Tehama COUNTY
Yuba pair jailed in meth bust
Two Yuba County men were arrested early Thursday on drug-related charges when Tehama County sheriff's deputies reportedly found methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Highway 99E.
Tohanna Davis, 47, of Camptonville, reportedly had 1.9 grams of meth, and Baltazar Cortez, 44, of Smartsville, reportedly had 5.2 grams of methamphetamine and a smoking pipe.
Both men were arrested and booked into the Tehama County Jail on suspicion of possession of controlled substance and transportation of controlled substance. Bail on each was set at $30,000.
