Yuba County

Gleaners set distribution

Free food distribution in the Yuba County foothills is planned July 16, coordinated by the Yuba-Sutter Gleaners Food Bank.

Sites and times include:

• Brownsville — 8 to 11 a.m. at Friday Night Live, 8408 La Porte Road.

• Loma Rica — 9 to 11 a.m. at the Lions Clubhouse, 5697 Fruitland Road.

• Dobbins — 8 to 10:30 a.m. at Lake Francis Grange, 10775 Texas Hill Road; for Oregon House, Dobbins and Camptonville residents.

The food distribution is through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Call 673-3834 for more information.

Marysville

Housing money available

Low-interest loans for eligible families within the city limits of Marysville are available for home repairs through the city's Housing Rehabilitation program.

Eligibility is based on gross household income adjusted to the household size.

Repairs can include water damage, leaky roofs, cracked foundations and handicap accessibility improvements.

Applications for the program are available by contacting Mercy Housing California at 800-995-0431, ext. 4412.

Mid-Valley

Food distribution scheduled

The Yuba-Sutter Gleaners Food Bank has scheduled free food distribution at several sites in the area in July.

Recipients must have a Y-S Gleaners U.S. Department of Agriculture distribution card when they apply for goods.

Distribution dates and places include:

• July 20 — Moose Lodge, 205 S. Walton Ave., Yuba City.

• July 22 — Live Oak Community Building, 10200 O St., Live Oak,

• July 23 — American Legion Linda Post 807 hall, 5477 Feather River Blvd., Linda; and the First Presbyterian Church, Sampson Street and Rideout Way in Marysville.

• July 24 — Veterans of Foreign Wars hall, 4956 Powerline Road, Olivehurst; and Beale Air Force Base Chapel Annex No. 2.

• July 26 — Y-S Gleaners warehouse, 760 Stafford Way, Yuba City; and Richland Housing, Hans Miller building, 420 Miles Ave., Yuba City.

• July 28 — Wheatland Senior Center, 705 Third St.; Sutter Youth Organization building, 7740 Butte House Road; and South Sutter Recreation Association building, Palm Street in East Nicolaus.
