Marysville
1 jailed in bar stabbing
A 39-year-old man suffered a 4-inch cut to his neck after he argued with another man inside Stassi's Fourth Ward Tavern, 102 Seventh St., Marysville police said Friday.
The incident was reported at 8:51 p.m. Thursday.
The victim, who was not identified, argued with a man about 8:20 p.m. Thursday inside the tavern, then left and got into his car. The suspect, who had followed him into the parking lot, reached through a window with a knife and cut the rear and side of the victim's neck, said Sgt. John Osbourn.
Police arrested 25-year-old Abel Cuevas of Linda in the 100 block of Seventh Street on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The victim was treated and released from Rideout Memorial Hospital.
Cuevas was being held Friday in Yuba County Jail on $30,000 bail.

McGowan road work set
Road work begins Monday along McGowan Parkway in Yuba County, under the direction of the Yuba County Public Works Department.
Pavement improvements will be made from the railroad tracks east of Arboga Road to Highway 70, with work completed by December.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane at times; motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
