    Pizzerias aiding Y-S youth soccer

    Three Round Table Pizza restaurants in Marysville and Yuba City are donating 20 percent of their sales on two days to the Yuba Sutter Youth Soccer League.

    The fundraiser times are from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Oct. 24. Customers must mention the soccer league when ordering.

    The restaurants are at 209 Ninth St. in Marysville and at 828 Gray St. and 1278 Stabler Lane in Yuba City.

    Yard sale will help fund scholarships

    Donated items are being accepted for a yard sale to help raise money for the Alliance for Hispanic Advancement scholarship fund.

    The Sept. 22 sale will start at 7 a.m. at 1641 Stabler Lane in Yuba City.

    Native Daughters dinner Sept. 29

    The South Butte Parlor No. 226 of the Native Daughters of the Golden West is hosting a spaghetti dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 29 at 7393 Lyon St., Sutter.

    The menu includes spaghetti, a salad bar, bread, dessert and beverage.

    Tickets are $7 per adult and $4 for children under 8 years old. Money raised will go toward a new floor in the parlor hall.

    Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling 671-1842.

    Blazer boosters need volunteers

    Volunteers are sought to help with transportation, set-up and sales for the second semi-annual yard sale organized by the Lindhurst Athletic Booster Club.

    The event will be held Oct. 20 in the Les Schwab parking lot in Linda.

    Donations are being accepted. To volunteer, call 933-5046.

    Events for breast cancer month

    Health screenings, the Race for Awareness walk/run and a fashion show are among the many activities planned in the community during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

    The events will be hosted by Larry Geweke Ford/Kia, Sutter Buttes Imaging, Fremont-Rideout Health Group and Sutter North Medical Foundation.

    Events include:

    Low cost mammogram screenings - Oct. 1 to 31 for women over 40 years old who are underinsured or uninsured.

    10th annual Race for Awareness 5K Walk/Run - Oct. 6 at Geweke Field behind Gray Avenue Middle School in Yuba City.

    Fourth annual Yuba-Sutter Harley Ride - Oct. 6, starting at Guidera’s Harley Davidson in Yuba City.

    Sixth annual Survivor Fashion Show - Oct. 22 at St. Isidore Catholic Church’s social hall in Yuba City.
