Hospice helper will be honored

Nominations are being accepted through April 21 for the Sutter North Medical Foundation's Hospice Volunteer of the Year.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from www.sutternorth.org; or call the foundation's Fund Development office at 749-3418.

Gleaners selling benefit cookbook

The Yuba-Sutter Gleaners Food Bank is selling a cookbook titled "Some of Our Favorite Recipes." A $10 donation is requested.

Cookbooks are available at the Gleaners' office, 460 A St., Yuba City, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hispanic group holding yard sale

The Alliance for Hispanic Advancement is holding a yard sale from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 5. The money raised will go to the group's scholarship fund.

The sale will be at 1641 Stabler Lane, Yuba City.

Show to feature work wardrobe

A "Working Wardrobe" fashion show is slated from 11 a.m. to noon April 7 in the Yuba Sutter Mall at Gottschalk's inside entrance.

Hosted by Sutter County One Stop and Gottschalk's, the event will show how to coordinate a wardrobe to achieve a professional image.

The mall is at the corner of Highways 99 and 20 in Yuba City.

Casino Night slated April 12

Tickets are available for the annual Casino Night sponsored by Yuba-Sutter Young Farmers and Ranchers in association with the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau.

Slated April 12 at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds' Expo Hall in Yuba City, the event will start with a barbecue dinner at 6:30 p.m., with gaming at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple. Those attending must be 21 years or older; valid identification is required.
