The Rev. Matt Munoz, right, carries his surfboard down to the beach during the Blessing of the Waves services near the pier in Huntington Beach Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012. Munoz and the Rev. Christian Mondor both hit the waves for a little surfing and swimming. The Fifth annual event was attended by 3,000, according to organizers, the biggest turnout yet.
