Gray wolf wanders into Tehama County
A radio-collared gray wolf, OR7, has been in California since December after leaving its pack in Oregon. The state is conducting a study to decide whether or not to place wolves on the state's Endangered Species List. It is already protected by federal law.

The California Fish and Game Commission determined Wednesday that listing the gray wolf as an endangered species in the state may be warranted.
On Dec. 28, a lone wolf known as OR7 traveled to California after leaving its pack in northeastern Oregon and has remained in the state the major.
