Program pushes Colusa County crops

Don and Theresa Bright planted this pecan orchard four years ago, and have another they planted six years ago ready to bring in their first harvest. The orginal homestead was settled by Theresa Bright's great-grandfather in 1876, then added to the size in 1883 by her grandfather. The Brights inherited the 447-acre farm in 2000. There are 90 acres dedicated to pecans.
