FEMA flood mapping process is deliberate, uncertain

FEMA official Kathy Schaefer told a gathering of Colusa County levee and other agency representatives that the official flood maps are still some time off, but also put everyone on notice that the work to get the levees certified for federal accreditation needs to get done. Schaefer was the point person for a meeting Thursday that discussed the mapping process, and the kind of information the federal agency needs from local agencies.
