 War Casualties

At least 5,000 members of the U.S. military had died in both Operations Iraqi Freedom and and Enduring Freedom since October 2001.

According to the military numbers, there are at least 3,700 men and women who have died as a result of hostile action, and at least 1,000 members in non-hostile casualty.

The information presented here is based on data released as a public service by the U.S. Department of Defense and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense-Public Affairs.
