Crop duster crash kills pilot

National Transportation Safety Board officials are investigating a crop duster crash in a rice field Monday, May 21, 2012 near Highway 70 and Nicolaus Avenue in East Nicolaus. The pilot, Nathaniel Allen Brown, 50, of Sacramento, was killed in the 6:30 a.m. crash while dropping zinc fertilizer, a Sutter County sheriff's spokesman said.
