Cox second at rodeo

Macey Cox of Arbuckle was the reserve all-around champion at the District 1 Jr. Wrangler Rodeo held recently at Cottonwood.

Cox won the goat-tying event, was third in ribbon tying with partner Clay Chambers of Chico, was fifth in pole bending, and sixth in barrel racing.

Linda Johnson of Fort Jones was the all-around champion. The boys all-around champion was Will Johnson of Etna.

Egling 3, Franklin 2

Egling 7, Brittan 0

Erica Linch, Jenna Lewis and Jaden Garcia each scored a goal as Egling beat Franklin on Tuesday.

Against Brittan on Thursday, Linch netted two more shots, and Lewis, Katie Mobley, Katelyn Lorenzini and Stephanie MacPherson each had one goal. Andrea Bedolla earned the shutout in net.
