Underwoods, Perez named first-team BVC

Yuba College baseball team's Scott Underwood, Erik Underwood and Adrian Perez were all named first-team Bay Valley Conference on Sunday.

Steven Davis was named second team, while Joey Gonzalez was named honorable mention.

The 49ers finished the season 23-18 overall and 14-13 in conference, and just missed out on the postseason.

Scott Underwood finished the season with a .453 batting average, sixth in the state, and 73 hits, third in the state. He also led the conference with those marks.

Perez had 62 hits, also making it into the top 20 in state, while finishing third in the conference with a .399 average.

Erik Underwood finished top 20 in the state in sacrifice flies and had a .350 batting average.
