A-D still seeking fall schedules
The Appeal-Democrat sports desk is still seeking fall sports schedules from area high schools.

Baseball
2-3 players needed for team
The Colusa County Pruners 11-and-under travel team is looking for 2-3 players to fill out their roster.
To be eligible, players can not turn 12 before May 1.

Demolition Derby
Derby date set for September
The Colusa Firefighters Association will hold its third annual Demolition Derby on Sept. 11 at the Colusa County Fairgrounds.
The derby is dedicated to the firefighters and public safety personnel that gave their lives to help on 9/11.
Gates open at 5 p.m. and the derby begins at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for kids 12 -and-under and $15 for adults.
Hunting
Free hunter safety course
The Yuba County Fish and Game Commission will be offering a 10-hour safety course at the Oregon House Community Center on Sept. 10 from 6-9 p.m. and Sept. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
