The Yuba College baseball team rallied with two runs in the ninth inning Tuesday to edge host College of Marin, 3-2, in a Bay Valley Conference outing in Kentfield.

"By far this is the best game we've played all year," 49ers coach Tim Gloyd said, adding the Mariners also played well.

Down 2-1 after five innings, Yuba (16-21, 11-12) waited until the last inning to pull out the win. Ryan DeLozier led off the top of the ninth with a base hit and Joey Gonzalez followed with a sacrifice bunt to move him over.

Two outs later, Ed Ryan singled to drive in DeLozier and tie the game. Josh Gauldin followed with a single to right to put runners at the corners. Nick Gauldin then hit a hard line drive right at the Marin shortstop to score Ryan with the winning run.

Ryan finished the game going 3-for-5 at the plate with a double and an RBI. Nick Gauldin was 2-for-5 with the RBI and Daniel Graning was 2-for-2.

Adrian Perez (2-3) picked up the win, pitching eight innings. He struck out five and gave up one earned run. Ryan got the save, his second of the season.

Yuba hosts the Mariners at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
