Yuba men drop opener

Bo Henning scored 13 points including three 3-pointers, but the Yuba College men's basketball team fell 71-53 in the season opener at the Shasta College Tournament on Friday night.

Henning graduated from Christian Brothers High in Sacramento last year. Former Marysville High standout Keenan Prince scored 11 points and Kyle Allen tallied 10 points in the loss.

Yuba College, which has no returning starters, face Santa Rosa College in the second day of the tournament today at 2 p.m.

"We are very young. It's going to be tough but we will be OK by the end of the year," said coach Doug Cornelius.
