Parker finishes 5th

Cody Parker of Williams tied for first in the cutting competition to propel him to a fifth-place finish in the all-around at this past weekend's District 1 high school rodeo in Cottonwood.
Parker and Dean Autry each finished with 135 points in the cutting competition.
Parker also took sixth with partner Adam Andreini of Red Bluff in the team-roping event. Zach McFarlane and Zane McFarlane, both of Gridley, finished a spot higher in fifth.
Daniel Ferreira of Fort Jones was the boys all-around champion for the rodeo, while Bliss Bidwell of Hat Creek was the top girls performer.
