The house was a two-story dilapidated Victorian off Highway 70 north of Marysville. The second story was already involved when firefighters arrived and the decision was made to not expend the resources because it was not salvageable.
Fire damaged a home across the street from East Nicolaus High School on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2012. Fire crews from Wheatland, East Nicolaus, Pleasant Grove and Sutter County responded.
