Master Gardeners kids' workshop today
The Master Gardeners of Colusa County invite interested childrent to attend a limited-space, first-come-first-served workshop from 10 a.m.-noon today at the Colusa County Free Library.
The workshop will be limited to the first 20 children to arrive.
Rice growers meeting setfor late January
A series of four rice growers meetings has been announced, and one will take place in Colusa.
The meeting will happen at Colusa Casino Resort at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 27. Other meetings will take place in Richvale, Glenn County and Yuba City.
The meetings are sponsored by UC Cooperative Extension.
School district board meetings are moving
The Williams Unified School District Board will have its forthcoming meetings at a new location, the Counseling and Career Center at Williams High School, 260 11th St.
The next meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 19. The public is invited to attend.
Master Gardener traning deadline extended
The deadline to apply for a class to become a Master Gardener of Colusa County has been extended to Jan. 3.
The weekly class will begin Jan. 11 and end April 26. All classes will be in Yuba City.
Following the training, those who complete the class will be certified UC Master Gardeners of Colusa County.
