Christmas Eve service announced
The Colusa Presbyterian Church will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service from 7:30 p.m.-11 p.m. at the church, on the corner of Fourth and Jay streets.
All are invited to attend the service, which will include a celebration of Jesus' birth, the singing of carols and, of course, the lighting of candles.

Trinity Church to have free Yuletide Dinner
All are invited to share in a free Christmas dinner at Trinity Methodist Church, at the corner of Fifth and Oak streets.
The dinner will be served from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. inside Friendship Hall at the church. In addition, Meals on Wheels will be available to deliver dinners from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 301-6132 for more information about delivery.

City seeks commissioners
The City Council is asking all interested citizens to apply for open seats on three commissions.
The openings are:
• Heritage Preservation Commission (1 seat).
• Public Utilities Commission (2 seats).
• Parks, Recreation and Trees Commission (1 seat).
Commissioners meet quarterly and service four-year terms. For information, visit the City Clerk's office at 426 Webster St.
School district board meetings are moving
The Williams Unified School District Board will have its forthcoming meetings at a new location, the Counseling and Career Center at Williams High School, 260 11th St.
The next meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 19. The public is invited to attend.
Master Gardener traning deadline extended
The deadline to apply for a class to become a Master Gardener of Colusa County has been extended to Jan. 3.
The weekly class will begin Jan. 11 and end April 26. All classes will be in Yuba City.
Following the training, those who complete the class will be certified UC Master Gardeners of Colusa County.
