International Games Day coming Nov. 19
It will soon be game on at the Colusa Branch Library.
The ninth annual International Games Day will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 19 in libraries all over the world, including in Colusa. There will be a plethora of board games available for patrons of all ages, plus extra-large versions of Shoots & Ladders, Hop Scotch and Connect Four and a life-size Checkers board.
The American Library Association's Games and Gaming Round Table, in association with Nordic Game Day, the Australian Library and Informational Association and L'Associazione Italiana Biblioteche, is sponsoring the event.

Veterans ceremony set
A special ceremony will be held to rededicate the walls of the tribute at Veterans Memorial Park at 1 p.m. Nov. 11, Veterans Day.
The park is at 10th and Market streets. The public is invited to attend.
Ladies Aid Bazaar returns
The Grimes Ladies Aid Society will have its annual dinner and bazaar at 5 p.m. Saturday at Grand Island Elementary School.
The dinner will be turkey will all of the trimmings and dessert. It costs $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12 and free for children younger than 5.
Bazaar booths will include linens, Christmas and other crafts, boutique items, mystery packages for people of all ages, a country store with local produce, baked goods, candies and jellies.
There will be a raffle table, prizes for which include a hand-made quilt.
