Colusa County Lieutenant retires

After 31 year of service, Lieutenant Mark Contreras (left) retired from the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 30, 2020. Contreras started with the department in 1999 after working for ten years at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. During his time with the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office, Contreras held many titles including DARE Officer, SOAR Team Commander, Detective and Sergeant.

“We would like to thank Lt. Contreras for all he has done for the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office,” the department said in a statement. “His service to the communities of Colusa County has not gone unnoticed.  We wish him well in his retirement and all future endeavors.”
