There were almost 100 gun related incidents on school campuses across the country last year – leading students to look for solutions to protect classrooms from the harm, help those that may have been injured and raise awareness of safety concerns.

The funeral for a fallen Davis police officer and Arbuckle native is scheduled for Friday morning.

Jerry Warren Harvey, 38, of Grimes was arrested on Friday, Aug. 11 at 7:56 p.m. on Leesville Road by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked into jail, bail set at $2,000.
