Hearings for the Arbuckle man accused of first degree murder have been suspended pending a competency to stand trial motion.

Martin Ehrke was in court last week for a re-setting of Mirada Rights motion and preliminary hearing but further actions have been stalled until a doctor’s report has been made and reviewed to see if Ehrke is able to understand what is going on in court and can rationally participate in his own defense.

Ehrke is charged with two counts of first degree murder with special allegations due to multiple victims.

Ehrke is scheduled to appear back in court July 3 for a review of the doctors report.
