While it was a learning year for most of the local high school baseball teams, that didn’t preclude individuals from receiving postseason accolades in their respective leagues.
Leading off, are the Sacramento Valley League and NSCIF Division IV runner up Colusa RedHawks, who with a solid combination of senior leadership and youth returned to the section title game for the first time in since 2014.
Four RedHawks were designated All-Sacramento Valley League including seniors Blake Steidlmayer and Christian Lyss along with junior Cody Free and sophomore Drew Bradbury.
Bradbury was also named to the All-Northern Section second team as pitcher after finishing the season 9-2 with a 1.69 ERA and 46 strikeouts over 56 innings of work.
In the Mountain Valley League, Maxwell showed significant improvement in their second season under head coach Tyler Wells, despite a fourth place finish in the MVL.
The three Panthers earning All-League honors were seniors in Tim Kromis and Vincent Ferrara in addition to freshman Shane Danley.
Both Pierce and Williams struggled with inexperience this season although the Bears got two selections in the SVL while the Yellowjackets got one in the Mid-Valley League.
Senior Matt Williams and junior Gentry Condrey represented Pierce, while senior Hunter Povlsen was the choice for the ‘Jackets.
