Nail Fire fully contained Monday

The Nail Fire burned on the Grindstone Ranger District of the Mendocino National Forest last week.

 

Fire crews and aircraft were dispatched to a wildland fire on the Grindstone Ranger District of the Mendocino National Forest Tuesday, July 7, according to a press release. 

The fire was 100 percent contained on Monday afternoon.

The Nail Fire is approximately 30 miles west of Willows near Fouts Springs and was estimated at 13 acres. 

According to an update posted on the U.S. Forest Service – Mendocino National Forest Facebook page, crews were reinforcing fire lines and mopping up hot spots.
