Free kids fishing day

Kids can enjoy a free day of fishing at the day use area of Little Stony Creek located off of Goat Mountain Road in Stonyford. Free fishing hours are from 7-3p.m. This free day of fishing is sponsored by the Colusa County Fish and Game Commission. 

Colusa Fire Association Pancake Breakfast

The Colusa Fire Association will host a pancake breakfast at the Colusa Fire Department, 750 Market St., Colusa, from 7 a.m.-11 a.m. They will be accepting donations for the all you can eat breakfast. There will be a raffle and tickets cost $2. 

Blood Drive

Tuesday, April 30

A Vitalant blood drive will be at Colusa High School from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the bloodmobile that will be parked near the cafeteria, 901 Colusa Ave., Colusa. Donors will receive a T-shirt. People are asked to bring photo identification and eat well and drink water before donating. The University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners of Colusa County will be providing information about in home gardening at the Arbuckle Branch Library from 1-2 p.m. The library is located at 610 King St. For more information, contact the Master Gardeners of Colusa County at 458-0570.

The Colusa County Free Library will be hosting a “day of the children, day of the books” event from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the main branch of the Colusa County Free Library, located at 738 Market St. in Colusa. The event will include a performance by the Williams High School Mariachi band, a children’s book giveaway and bilingual story time and crafts. Folklorico Latino de Woodland will also be promoting awareness of Mexican culture through dance, music, song, and folklore performances.
