Robert “Andybob” Anderson and Maria Orlando celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise along the Alaskan Coast along with a gathering of family members. Robert and Maria were married at Saint Isadore’s Catholic Church in Yuba City two weeks after Maria’s 1968 graduation. Maria and Bob raised three sons Daniel, Richard and Andrew, Daniel, and Sheena his fiance. Richard and his daughter Jillie live in Missoula, Montana. Andrew lives in Marysville with his wife Kim and their son Robert, and daughters Gwen and Abby.
Robert was stationed at five military bases and TDY to many locations around the world following the SR-71 and U-2 Aircrew members providing them safe pressure suit operation Robert retired from the Air Force with the rank of SMSgt on 31 August 1987. After his military service he was manager/head professional of coyote Run Golf Course. Robert is credited for the opening of nine new holes in July of 1998. He retired from the golf business 24 October 2004. During his retirement he has written and produced 115 songs in Nashville.
All are available online, just type in “Andybob.” They have lived the last 20 years on a small farm in Browns Valley. Robert says it has been a great 50 years and hopes to make it to 75. Maria says it seems like yesterday when she got married and went to Randolph AFB, Texas.
