– The Corning EAA Chapter 1148 and Young Eagles would like to invite everyone to attend their Pancake Breakfast and Learn to Fly Day from 7 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Corning Airport. Kids ages 8 to 17 must bring a parent or guardian at 7 a.m. and can sign up to go for a ride with a local pilot. They will also receive their Young Eagle Certificate and photo with their pilot. – The Rolling Hills Casino, 2655 Everett Freeman Way, will be hosting its Rock A Rita event from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. on Sept. 9. Ticket cost is $20 per person in advance, and $25 at the door. Ticket price includes $5 free slot play, food and margarita tastings and can be purchased online on Ticketforce, from any Active 20-30 Club of Chico member, or from the Corning Chamber of Commerce.
