Corning High School’s 2018 Homecoming festivities welcomed its 50-year alumni with a float in the event’s parade, a special dinner and recognition during Friday night’s football game at Cardinal Stadium.
In addition, the celebration of Cardinal Pride crowned Homecoming royalty with Maddie McGehee as this year’s Homecoming Queen. The school senior was escorted by Bryce Armstrong during the crowning ceremony. Also recognized was Junior Class Princess Jasmin Valdovines, escorted by Hector Madrigal, Sophomore Princess Kaelyn Nerey escorted by Tristan Saephan and Freshman Princess Gissel Rico escorted by Nico Garcia.
Friday afternoon’s Homecoming Parade featured the class floats with the winner of the competition being the Junior Class as announced during the evening’s football game.
Friday’s events was the end to a week of Homecoming festivities at the high school campus, including lunchtime activities, dress-up days and Cardinal Spirit competitions.
