Corning in the Evening tonight at Farmers Market

The Farmers Market will be hosting this months Chamber of Commerce Corning in the Evening from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., tonight. The Farmers Market is located at the city’s Northside Park (pool park) at the corner of West and Tehama streets.


Child passenger safety class 

Tehama County Health Services Agency is hosting a Child Passenger Safety Class at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 26 at 275 Solano St., Corning. Classes will take place in both English and Spanish. Class size is limited. Register by calling 530-527-6824 or 800-655-6854.


Veterans of Foreign Wars Bingo closed

Corning VFW Bingo will be closed during the month of July. There will be a VFW sponsored All Veterans Barbecue from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 22 at Woodson Bridge State Park. Burgers and hotdogs supplies, bring a side dish if possible. 

All Veterans and their families are welcome to the barbecue.


Help build CHIP homes

CHIP, in partnership with USDA Rural Development, is inviting the community to join in a volunteer build day at Stonefox Ranch owner-built subdivision on Stonefox Street in Corning from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., June 18 followed by a program, house tour and lunch from 11 a.m.-noon

Corning Library Summer Reading 

Corning Library Summer Reading program will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, and run each Tuesday through July 31. Children are encourage to come and join in the fun with reading, games, prizes, crafts, stories and more. Tehama County Library Story Times in Corning for all ages takes place at the Corning Library at 9:30 a.m. each Monday.

The Corning Library is located at 740 Third St.
