The Corning softball team was shut out by Sutter, 4-0, on April 9 at home. 

No hits were recorded for the Cardinals.

However, the Cardinals rebounded and shut out Wheatland on the road, 6-0, on April 10. 

Leading Corning were Nicole Dodge who went 2-for-4 with a double, one single, reached on an error and had two RBIs; Nayeli Lara was 1-for-3 with a single and an RBI. 

Corning also defeated Orland 4-1 on Tuesday on the road. 

The Cardinals’ Olivia Henderson went 1-for-3 with one single and two RBIs; and Mayze Menefee went 2-for-4 with two singles; and Lara went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. 

The Cardinals will host Las Plumas on April 24.
