RV Fire

A recreational vehicle parked at 1925 Elizabeth Ave., went up in flames Saturday night.

A recreational vehicle parked in the front yard at 1925 Elizabeth Ave., in Corning went up in flames Saturday night.

According to the Corning Fire Department dispatch, firefighters were called out at 11:17 p.m. to fight the fire which also torched a nearby vehicle, destroying it and the recreational vehicle.

“We don’t know if anyone was living in the RV or not,” fire dispatch said. “But we do know there were people in the home where the RV was parked.”

No one was injured in the incident.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading to adjacent structures, however, fencing and siding at 1914 Elizabeth Ave., were damaged by the flames.

A fire department report on the fire stated a loss value of $12,000 between both the RV and vehicle.

The cause is under investigation.

Firefighters had the blaze contained at 12:16 a.m. Sunday.
