The Los Molinos High School Alumni Association honored 11 graduating high school seniors during an awards night June 4.

Awarded a $500 Los Molinos High School Alumni Association scholarship were Cameron Crossland and Aaron Hardy. An additional scholarship was made possible by the family of Dee Gault and was awarded to Filemon Ocampo Ortiz.

The association administers additional scholarships that are funded by the family of a past alumnus. Awarded a $500 Warren Conklin Scholarship were Genesis Acevedo, Valeria Garnica, Vanessa Gutierrez, Christopher Manriquez, Hailee Mincher, Caitlyn Tayler Morgan, Sandra Carbajal-Najar, and Krystal Vue.

Garnica was also awarded the $500 Merle M. Carneggie Industrial Arts Scholarship.

The Los Molinos High School Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization that is composed of former graduates, spouses, and other community members who give their time, talents and financial contributions to help the school years after they have graduated and in some cases left the area.

Along with awarding annual scholarships to graduating seniors, the association allocates over $2,500 a year to the school in donations for various programs, including sober graduation, athletics and other student related activities and services. Since 1993, the Association has given over $150,000 back to Los Molinos High School.
