The Los Molinos varsity baseball team fell to both Colusa, 6-1, and Woodland, 12-1, at the Sutter Spring Classic on April 16. On April 17, the Bulldogs defeated Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, 7-5.
The RedHawks took an early lead against the Bulldogs, scoring two runs in the first inning and three in the fifth and one in the sixth.
The Bulldogs’ only run was scored at the bottom of the sixth by Aaron Hardy.
Los Molinos’ Clay Ames, Devin Henderson and Hiram Lamkins all went 1-for-3; and Ty Isaksen went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Against Woodland, the Bulldogs lone run was scored by Henderson.
Western Sierra Collegiate Academy took an early lead by scoring two in the first inning and three in the second. Los Molinos scored seven runs between the third inning and the seventh, to take the win.
Leading the Bulldogs against the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy was Aaron Hardy who went 3-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI; Dylan Hausman went 1-for-2 with two RBIs; Henderson was 2-for-5 with one run and an RBI; and DJ Caylor went 1-for-3 and scored three runs and had an RBI.
The Bulldogs will play against Burney at home on April 30.
Corning 2, Colusa 1
The Corning varsity softball team defeated Colusa at home, 2-1, on April 17.
This was a make up game that was originally scheduled on March 5, according to Maxpreps.
The Cardinals scored the first run at the bottom of the first inning and scored again in the third. Colusa’s lone run was scored in the third inning.
Makenzie Prest went 1-for-3 for the Cardinals and had a double; and Mayze Menefree went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
One run was scored on an error.
