The Red Bluff Garden Club “elves” are gearing up for their annual Scholarship Christmas Boutique & Green Sale which this year will be Dec. 7, 8 and 9. All proceeds from this sale are designated to fund up to three $1,500 scholarships the club gives to Tehama County seniors entering college and pursuing a career in plant/horticultural fields.

All of our wreaths are hand-made by our club members with fresh, fragrant greens, then artistically embellished with trim and ribbon to make them a unique one of a kind décor for your Christmas holiday. We also make door swags and centerpieces with fresh greens. Our busy elves are happy to make the fresh green designs to your specifications with your choice of trim and ribbon. Please call Gloria at 530-737-4525 or Judy at 530-200-5013 to pre order your special wreath, swag, or centerpiece for the holiday season.

In addition to the fragrant wreaths, swags, and centerpieces our boutique features homemade candy, cookies, jams, jellies, and many other unique ideas and gifts. We invite you to stop by our storefront to browse our selection and enjoy the fresh greens fragrance that says Christmas!

New this year is a gift wrapping service! If gift wrapping is not your favorite thing, bring your gift to our cheerful elves and we will wrap it beautifully for you for a small donation to our scholarship fund. So shop early, and then come see us to complete a portion of your gift giving and relieve some holiday stress!

The Garden Club sincerely appreciates the community support of this project to help seniors begin their college studies. The three recipients of scholarships for 2017, Natalie Brown, Madison McCarty, and Mikayla Moore, have all begun their advanced education in the horticulture/agriculture field. We wish them the very best as they begin this journey.

This year our “pop-up” location is Frontier Village, 645 Antelope Blvd., #17. Our storefront will be open to the public 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Dec. 7-9. We hope you will come by to purchase a beautiful hand-made, wonderfully fragrant wreath, swag, or centerpiece for your Christmas décor!

The Red Bluff Garden Club meets at 1p.m. the last Tuesday of the month at the Community Center in Red Bluff. Our program for Nov. 28 is “Container Gardening & Culinary Herbs” by Michelle Sousa, owner of Sousa Dynasty Nursery in Red Bluff. Guests are welcome to join us for our meeting and we are always seeking new, interested members.

The Red Bluff Garden Club is a member of Cascade District, California Garden Clubs Inc. and Pacific Region, National Garden Clubs, Inc.
