Veterans Day was observed on Nov. 11, honoring military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day, as Memorial Day honors those who died while in military service. 

The Tehama County Veterans Services office is proud to serve Tehama County Veterans and their family members every day, and we thank all our veterans for their sacrifice.

We will have a Christmas Open House at our Red Bluff office 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Dec. 15.The Tehama County Veterans Collaborative graciously offered to host our Holiday Open House. Please help us spread the word and we look forward to seeing veterans and other members of the community at the Open House.

The Tehama County Veterans Services Corning and Los Molinos satellite offices are doing very well. We could use more help getting the word out about our Los Molinos satellite office. Any business in the county that does not have a Veterans Services Office flier, please call the office and a flier will be brought to the for posting. 

Corning continues to be very busy. Thanks to all who support our satellite offices and enable us to do outreach in our county.

Dependent College Fee Waivers can be submitted to the Veterans Services Office or make an appointment with Beverly Holden or Andrew Norwood at our Red Bluff office. Documentation necessary prior to the appointment are the Veteran’s DD-214, dependent’s birth certificate or if spouse, marriage license, VA rating disability letter and IRS or Franchise Tax Board 2016 income verification for the dependent. The College Fee Waiver packages will be reviewed by the VSO on administrative Fridays. Please plan ahead on these packages as the VSO will not be able to approve these packages on the same day as the appointment. Thank you for your support.

The Veterans Services Office is in the old courthouse, 444 Oak Street #C, Red Bluff. Office appointment hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, closed from noon-1 p.m. for lunch. The Red Bluff office is by appointment only. Corning office walk-ins are at the Veterans Memorial Hall 9-11 am every Tuesday of the month. Los Molinos office walk-ins are at the Los Molinos County Center at 7883 Highway 99E the first and third Monday of the month from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. DMV forms for “Veteran” designated on your driver’s license are available at all VSO offices. The Tehama County ID card is only available in the Red Bluff VSO office. Please call before coming in to make sure that we have staffing available to make the cards. Incarcerated and Probation Veteran appointments are Thursday mornings. Veteran License Plates are new for us – we fill out a form now before taking the form to DMV. Friday’s we are closed for administration and outreach. We are looking forward to meeting you or seeing you again on your return visit.
