Two pigs were killed in a fire on Toomes Avenue in Corning that consumed a hay barn and damaged a storage unit on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

CalFire reported responding to the blaze at 5582 Toomes Ave., around 1:40 a.m., and were assisted by the Corning Volunteer Fire Department. 

The loss caused by the fire is estimated to be $100,000, and the cause was electrical, according to CalFire.
