'Celebrating Our Savior' event is on Saturday

Local youth groups from throughout the community are coming together again this weekend in "Celebrating Our Savior" at the Restoration Center Refuge and Deliverance Ministry in Yuba City.

God's Tri-county Gospel Youth Explosion is at 3 p.m. Saturday at 212 Bridge St.

With pastor Ada Terry, the event includes singing, dancing, rapping and skits.

Choir set for three performances

The Community Christmas Choir, with singers from high school age to their 80s, is presenting three performances this coming week in Colusa County.

With Christmas classics and newer and older contemporary Christian music, all performances begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

Concerts are:

Monday — Arbuckle United Methodist Church, at Ninth and Pendleton streets.

Wednesday — Colusa Assembly of God, 1747 Highway 20.

Thursday — Grimes Community Church, Highway 45 at Main Street.


Prayer walk starts in Riverfront Park

The public is invited to take part in a community prayer walk Saturday in Marysville, coordinated by Tabernaculo de Adoracion Ministry.

The walk starts at 11 a.m. at the Beckwourth Riverfront Park amphitheater on Bizz Johnson Drive and ends at the Marysville Gold Sox baseball field, Colusa Casino Stadium, at 14th and B streets.

The First United Methodist Church is hosting a free community dinner from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Dec. 23 in Marysville.
