Miracle Healing Crusade tonight

The Miracle Healing Crusade starts tonight, sponsored by New Life Assembly of God Church in Olivehurst.

Services are at 7 p.m. today and Saturday at New Life Assembly, 5736 Arboga Road, and 10 a.m. Sunday at Praise Chapel, 398 Aylor Ave., Yuba City.

The crusade is led by Pastor T.L. Miller of Word of Life Worship Center in San Diego.

Doolittle talks about 18-month mission trip

Megan Doolittle, the daughter of David and Nancy Doolittle of Sutter, will talk about her recent 18-month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Sutter Buttes Ward congregation, 1470 Butte House Road, Yuba City.

She served at the California Santa Rosa Mission for three months and the Texas San Antonio Mission for 15 months. 

A 2015 graduate of Sutter Union High School, she attended one year at Brigham Young University-Idaho and plans to return in January.

Gingerbread house decorating to help the homeless

Children and adults are invited to join in decorating gingerbread houses while helping raise funds to aid homeless families in the community.

“Home Sweet Gingerbread House” is from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 18 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1390 Franklin Ave., Yuba City.

The cost is $30 per gingerbread house kit and includes extra icing and candy decorations and refreshments. Participants are invited to bring their own decorations.

The day includes a visit from Santa Claus and prizes for the best gingerbread houses.

Money raised goes to Bridges to Housing, a nonprofit corporation assisting homeless families to obtain safe, decent and affordable housing in Yuba-Sutter.

92nd annual Turkey Dinner next week

Sutter United Methodist Church is hosting its 92nd annual Turkey Dinner from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 16. The church is at the corner of Acacia Avenue and South Butte Road, Sutter.

Take-out orders are ready at 4:40 p.m.

Donations requested are $12 for an adult dinner and $5 for children age 4 to 12 years.

Take-out orders can be placed after 2 p.m. the day of the event by contacting the church at 744-0150.

Members of the Sutter Union High School Future Business Leaders of America will help serve the meal and clean up afterward.

OLIVEHURST

Fall revival set to start

The Mount Olivet Fall Revival is set daily from Nov. 19-21 at the church, 2284 McGowan Parkway, Olivehurst.

With the theme “Lord Revive Us Again,” psalms 85:1-7, the services are at 7 p.m. each day.

The revival is led by Pastor Yardley Griffin Jr. of Destiny Church of Sacramento.
