Youth group going to rally

The youth group from the First Baptist Church in Yuba City is heading to a youth rally Saturday at Wolf Mountain in Grass Valley.

Participants are meeting at 7:15 a.m. at the church at 916 Plumas St. and plan to return at 10 p.m.

The event includes lunch and dinner, fellowship and games.

Olivehurst

Revival planned this weekend

Revivalist messenger the Rev. Yardley Wendell Griffin Jr. is leading "Let's Go! Revival!" Sunday-Tuesday at Mount Olivet, 2284 McGowan Parkway in Olivehurst.

The revival starts at 7 p.m. each day, with refreshments available from 6 p.m.-6:45 p.m.

The event's theme is "Give Thanks-1 Thessalonians 5:18."

Griffin Jr. is pastor of Destiny Church of Sacramento and a gospel recording artist.

Youth groups to celebrate

God's Tri-county Gospel Youth Explosion is celebrating "Thankfulness" at 3 p.m. Nov. 25 at The Bridge church, 424 Epley Drive in Yuba City.

With gospel youth groups from throughout the community, the event includes singing, dancing, rapping and skits.

Churches collecting donations

Three Mid-Valley churches are participating in Operation Christmas Child, collecting donations for children around the world.

Donations can be dropped off at:

• Cooper Avenue Baptist Church — at 804 Cooper Ave., Yuba City. Collection hours are 5 p.m.-7 p.m. today; 2 p.m.-7 p.m. Saturday; 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Sunday; and 9 a.m.-noon Monday.

• Hope Point Nazarene Church — at 600 N. George Washington Blvd., Yuba City. Hours are 2 p.m.-5 p.m. today and Saturday; 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Sunday; and 10 a.m.-noon Monday.

• Gridley First Baptist Church — at 100 Vermont St., Gridley. Hours are 9 a.m.-11 a.m. today, Saturday and Monday; and noon-2 p.m. Sunday.

Marysville

Arts and crafts fair set

The Marysville First Presbyterian Church Arts and Crafts Fair is set from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 3 at the church, at Sampson Street and Rideout Way.

The event is also open to the congregation from noon-1 p.m. Dec. 4, following the worship service.
