Annual fall festival is Sunday

St. Joseph's 67th annual Fall Festival is set from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at the former Notre Dame School at Seventh and C streets in Marysville.

Admission and parking are free.

The day includes multicultural food, live music and games. Money raised goes to support the church.

Lutheran church plans Oktoberfest

The annual Oktoberfest hosted by Faith Lutheran Church begins at 4 p.m. Oct. 15 at 1000 D St., Marysville.

The event includes German bratwurst and wieners with sauerkraut, salads and dessert, plus games and German music.

The public is invited to bring a dish to share and can dress in costume if desired.

Donations will be accepted to benefit the church's youth camperships. The annual event is a Thrivent supported "Live Generously" community service.

Yuba City

Seamons to talk upcoming mission

Jared Seamons will talk about his two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before the Yuba City Ward congregation.

He will speak at the 11 a.m. Oct. 16 service at 1470 Butte House Road.

Seamons, the son of John and Linda Seamons of Yuba City, served at the Ciudad Juarez Mexico Mission.

He is a 2014 graduate of Yuba City High School and plans to attend Brigham Young University.

Colusa

Buy tickets for Spaghetti Luncheon

Trinity United Methodist Church in Colusa is hosting its Fall Spaghetti Luncheon from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 24 at 511 Oak St.

Lunch, spaghetti with homemade sauce, salad, bread and dessert, can be eaten at Friendship Hall or taken home.

Tickets are $10 per person, available at the door, or in advance from church members or call 458-4589.

Olivehurst

Prizes, candy at Harvest Festival

Free games, prizes, candy and food are part of the Harvest Festival planned Oct. 29 at Lighthouse Christian Center in Olivehurst.

The family fun day is from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. at 5174 Chestnut Road. Children can wear costumes to the event.

Church plans bazaar, bake sale

A salad luncheon and turkey dinner are featured at the annual Craft Bazaar and Bake Sale planned at the First United Methodist Church in Marysville, presented by United Methodist Women.

The event is Nov. 5 at 730 D St., starting at 10 a.m. with the bazaar and bake sale. Admission is free.

The salad luncheon is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with soup or salad, beverage and pie, at $6 per person; and the turkey dinner is from 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at a cost of $10, adult, and $4, child age 10 years and under.
