Witness the life of Jesus at the Miracle of Christmas Drive-thru

About 15 scenes from the life of Christ are featured this weekend in the Miracle of Christmas Drive-Thru presented at Crossroads Community Church in Yuba City.

The outdoor event is from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday at 445 B St. Admission is free.

With more than 350 volunteers, the presentation chronicles the life of Christ, from before his birth to his death and resurrection.

The presentation includes actors, live animals and Christmas carols.

The event is the church's gift to the community. Donations are not accepted.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Procession starts at 11 a.m. Sunday

The annual Our Lady of Guadalupe Procession, in honor of the patron saint of Mexico, starts at 11 a.m. sharp Sunday in Yuba City.

Participants are asked to meet at 10:30 a.m. at the starting site.

The procession leaves from Richland Housing, at Garden Highway and Percy Avenue, and ends at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 222 Clark Ave.

Mass is at noon, followed by a reception from 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m. at the church parish hall.

Admission to the reception is $5 for adults and $3 for children and includes music, food and danza.

The event is sponsored by the St. Isidore Grupo Guadalupano.

The celebration continues Monday, the day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, with "Las Mañanitas" at 5 a.m. and Mass at 6 a.m. at St. Isidore. Breakfast with chocolate and bread follows at 7 a.m.

'Las Mañanitas' will be sung to celebrate patron saint of Mexico

"Las Mañanitas" will be sung at 5 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marysville in celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico.

Mass is at noon, followed by a food sale reception and music at the church's parish hall. Mariachi is present at the Mass and the food sale.

Admission to the reception is $5.

The church is at the corner of Seventh and C streets.

The celebration is hosted by the St. Joseph Grupo Guadalupano.

The regularly scheduled 8 a.m. Mass will be celebrated Monday, the day of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

First United Methodist Church changes schedule for December

Marysville First United Methodist Church has changed its Sunday morning schedule for December.

Worship is at 10 a.m. each Sunday through Jan. 1.

A candlelight service is at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Interactive Living Nativity begins tonight

The third annual Interactive Living Nativity hosted by Bear River Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan begins tonight at 5911 Camp Far West Road.

The production is from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. today and Saturday and Dec. 16 and 17. Admission and refreshments are free.

Actors are portraying events leading up to and following Jesus' birth in a setting depicting the streets of Bethlehem at the time. Music and live animals are part of the production.
