Angel Breakfast served Saturday

The First United Methodist Church in Yuba City is serving an Angel Breakfast, provided by its Children's Ministry.

The free breakfast and the singing of Christmas carols is from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Saturday at 3101 Colusa Highway.

Toys, hams, turkeys sought for dinner

Donations of Christmas toys, hams and turkeys are sought for the Annual Early-Free Christmas Dinner to Those in Need presented by the Good Seed Church in partnership with the First Lutheran Church.

Donations can be dropped off at Porkys BBQ, 1190 Bridge St., Yuba City.

The dinner is from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Good Seed Church, 850 Cooper Ave., Yuba City.

Olivehurst

Busy weekend set at Mount Olivet

Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Olivehurst has an upcoming busy weekend Dec. 10-11 with a Gospel Fest Extravaganza and Brunch plus the Annual Men's Day Celebration.

The church is at 2284 McGowan Parkway, Olivehurst.

The extravaganza on Dec. 10 starts with brunch at 1 p.m. The gospel fest is at 3 p.m. featuring the groups the W.D. Gospel Singers and A Touch of Praise, both of Stockton.

The Annual Men's Day Celebration on Dec. 11 begins with a worship service at 3 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. Clarence Jefferson of the Greater Second Street Baptist Church of Sacramento.

The theme is "The Spiritual Man" 1 Corinthians 2:11-13.

Meals will be served from 2 p.m.-2:45 p.m. in the church dining room.

Admission is free.

Children's Boutique open Dec. 10

Victory Chapel is hosting its Annual Children's Christmas Boutique, a "store" created for children to buy gifts ranging in price from 10 cents to $3.

The boutique is open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 10 at 10615 Live Oak Blvd. in Live Oak. Adults may shop from noon-2 p.m.

Special features includes free gift wrapping and a parents' waiting area.

All proceeds benefit the church's Helping Hands Ministry that helps provide aid for those in need.
